Took my little one to meet a friend in the play area this morning. The kids play areas were absolutely disgusting, not sure when they were last cleaned and completely unsafe. so we tried the toddler area, also disgusting. Dirty toys, dirty floor and toys that were broken and unsafe. Needless to say we left and met my friend and her little one elsewhere. Its a shame because it used to be a lovely place to go.
Food is good. Salad bar is awesome. Staff are wonderful and very friendly. We were at the dining area for ages and no one ever show a bad face. Makes me as a mom feel very welcome to just sit and relax while my little one is playing at the big play area. I never felt like they want to kick me out because I was there for hours, lol! (In fairness, our whole family had lunch and was playing in the pokies for couple of hours). The whole experience was wonderful.
Great meals very family friendly, reasonably priced. Great access for wheel chairs etc.
I have never experienced worse service in a restaurant in my life. The food was OUTRAGEOUSLY overpriced so I assumed I would be receiving a very high quality meal. What I actually received was dry, over cooked and took far too long to come out. Not only did our food take a horrendous amount of time to arrive, but the two kids meals we ordered were the LAST to be brought to the table by about 15 minutes. Im sorry but hungry, tired 2 and 6 year olds waiting an hour for their food while the adults around them are already eating their food is outright unacceptable. I will not be returning and I encourage anyone enticed by the family friendly environment to look elsewhere.
The Gawler Arms, was fantastic. I went there for Lunch, with family and it was great! One of my family members (sister) is from Whyalla and we went here once before when she Came down to the city, Now she Doesn't want to go anywhere else!! We all love the meals and the kids Play room is so great for my Great Nieces and family. Love it!
